The Wedding

I don’t know about everybody else, but when I come home from a trip its ‘Home Sweet Home’ and yet disappointing all at the same time.
No matter how great a trip is I always find myself tired and needing a whole day to just recoup. That doesn’t happen because your thrown into the routine of things without being asked, Hubby goes back to work, my mom busy running around, my brother back to his movies, Agustin back to making messes and me, well I’m back at the computer, cleaning, being a mom, cooking, laundry and on and on and on.
It always leads me to wonder why no one took the phase, ‘A vacation from my vacation,’ seriously. If they need then I’d be on a mini-vacation right now.
All this reminds me of the song, “Beautiful Letdown”.
A 9 hour drive there and a 10 hour drive back was the gist of my weekend.

The best part of the road trip was the scenery. The highland were so beautiful! The rolling hills were calling my name.
My imagination jump out the car door and ran towards the hills in a beautiful flowing white dress and a sun bonnet in my hand. I was free, wrapped in beauty and fully content by God’s glory.
Augustin did a lot better on the rode then he is doing today at home. He’s getting into all kinds of trouble. All I can do about that is thank God for His grace, because I’m gonna need it! Is it nap time yet?!

One things for sure, his little smile makes me smile and melts my heart.
The purpose of our little trip to Boise was to watch my dad get married.
He got to marry such an amazing woman who has raised SEVEN wonderful people. If they are not in college then they already have a family of their own. Beautiful people indeed and I’m happy to call them my step family. I still have yet to figure out whose who and what all their names are, but it’s all good thanks to Facebook, lol.
The ceremony was beautiful and emotional.
I did have the honor in being my dad’s wedding photographer and it was such a blessing to be able to do something for my dad that creates so many memories and happiness.

Here's the Sneak Peak from the wedding:

On our way back to Seattle we got to stop by a little town called Haines in Oregon. It gave Augustin a chance to get out of his car seat and rome around for an hour.

Honestly I felt like I was walking a dog, in a good way. He needed me for nothing, but to make sure he stayed out of puddles and didn’t eat anything he shouldn't. All I was needed for was to watch him.

On a different note, my office is starting to come together.

It’s a short recap because I have lots of other work and priorities to get done. The good part about things is that we are not going for another trip until next month. That should give me a little break from all the travels.

  2. These are so amazing. I love how the sun in everyone's eyes for the headshots actually worked out for the best! Everyone has such an intense gaze.
