A Little Vintage Shoot

Today was such an unexpected great day!

I had the privilege of spending the day with a good friend who happens to also be a photographer, we took our kids to a vintage Kim Anderson inspired shoot. I say it was unexpected because the forecast told us rain all week, but during our shoot clear blue skies and 60 degree weather accompanied us. In short, that's a miracle for our area!

The kids had a blast and by kids I mean my friend and I. We went to this gorgeously beautiful mansion in Tacoma that I spotted about 9 months ago for the shoot and spent a good couple of hours chasing my son and her daughter around the property trying to capture that perfect moment.

There's a whole story behind how I found this mansion that I'll be sharing on another blog (details to come), but it was all by chance and today we hit the jackpot or close to it when you're a photographer with some cute blonde, blue eyed models.

Side note: Please forgive the look of some of my images. There were so many cute ones and I was only able to edit a few, the rest are corrected and I'm only saying this because the shoot was inspired by photographer Kim Anderson and her images are heavily edited.

After the beautiful session we were all tired! We also all seemed to have skipped our breakfast this morning, so we went out to eat. Let me tell you... two toddlers in one cafe/restaurant without their daddies is not a good idea. We had crayons all over the floor, our table had books on it and the little people wouldn't sit in their chairs! Somehow we managed it all and cleanup was kinda quick.

She is always one step ahead of him.

With all their hard work we let the models go out to the playground while I got to cuddle me some adorable little baby girl. So many of my friends recently had babies! I've got to hold them, kiss them and walked away with a baby fever. They can be so contagious!
