I went to the Influence Network Conference last week (just got back yesterday) and bought myself a brand new coffee mug and a spoon that says 'A little bit of coffee and a whole lotta Jesus'. As it's a new cup and spoon as well as a new month, what better subject to write about than Jesus and coffee?
There is a whole lot of Jesus to be discovered with a fresh cup of coffee in the mornings and I'd love to share what I find in the next 31 days. I've never done anything like this and even usually stay away from photo challenges, but a writing challenge sounds rather intriguing.
I know it's been a full month when my sweet mother-in-law sends me an update email because she hasn't really heard from us since she flew back to Slovakia a month ago. It was a good reminder that even though I can't slow down that I should put those most important to me on top of my schedule and to-do's. I am thankful for her sweet and patient heart as I know she misses us as much as we have missed her.
With all of that said there are just 3 more trips on the horizon with one being next week and our last is my 5th anniversary aka Honeymoon (that's what we've nicknamed them). We've also planned our last and final trip of the year to Boise for Christmas. After a little winter break we will be picking our traveling schedule back up in spring. Did you know that I really really dislike the process of traveling?! I love being at whatever location I am going to, but the plane part is a huge hiccup in my plans.
Off traveling and onto preshool which my son wakes up every morning hoping that that is the morning we get to go to preschool. Tomorrow is and I am thankful that my little kidlet loves it there. We have a fantastic teacher!
Sorry, a bunch of ramblings! It's been two straight days of photo-shoots which leaves me little room outside of my office. I'll plan for a fall update on my garden for Thursdays post!
I've been in the blogging world for a few years now, but this blog was just for family and friends. I had no idea that there was such a big blogging world out there with conferences until I got serious with my Inspired Blog. Over the past year I've seen many people go to blogging conference's, but none of them really caught my attention until I came upon The Influence Network.
I am excited to connect with some amazing women who believe in what I believe and have the same main goal. This is all new to me and I'm believing that instead of turning into a little hermit crab ,like I usually do in big group settings, I will walk away with many meaningful friendships. I am coming into this conference with big questions and high hopes as I know God is good and gives us just what we need.
I've been to many a conferences in the last 4 years of my life, but this one is going to be completely different, which really excites me. I 'm very big on taking Instagram pictures so for sure I'll be packing little props to give some texture and character to my pictures, it just what I do. I will also be bringing a cute notebook that I've been waiting to use just for the occasion.
I'm really looking forward to meeting all the beautiful new people, connect and get some talking in. It feels like the perfect opportunity to lay all the worries aside and just have good hearted fun. I also am expecting to do a little bit of learning and growing as I've been asking myself and God some questions that I know will get answered.
I got it! I finally got one very relaxing and well spent weekend! It's the one I've been waiting for all summer. You know, the one without a schedule, a loaded plan, but spent on the whim.
On Friday we went to the fair, just the three of us and it was grand! I bought to eat whatever I wanted, which was relatively on the healthier side. We rode all the rides we wanted and got to see all the things we wanted at our own slow pace until the end. Tin realized we were going soon so that meant run to as many rides as you could in a half hour. The one thing that I didn't get to do was eat that elephant ear, but I was too full from eating everything else!
On Saturday, we spent a lazy day at home. Towards the end of the day we managed to get our butts off the couch and got ourselves to a park for a family walk. It was beautiful as we got to watch the water planes come in at sunset.
Sunday was date night! Handmade ice cream and Austenland. I seriously have the best hubby who loves to go see my kind of movies. It was also a fun movie. We weren't going to go, but I am very happy that we went. Spending time with my husband is one of my favorite activities.
Then our last day of the glorious weekend was spent hiking and relaxing by the river followed by a hummus platter picnic. Oh, and the food this weekend was extra yummy!
I feel full and I feel blessed. I thank God for such a refreshing and blessed week!
