Maple Teething Biscuits

We are proud to announce that the have one bottome tooth that has cute through and another one on it's way. That little tooth is very sharp and Little Guy's gaws are very srtong too. Since this new developement we are no longer letting him chew our fingers off. Instead he gets teething biscuits.

My favorite thing about his all natural, all organic maple biscuits for teethers is how messy and dirty he gets. The stuff gets all over his face, hands and tummy. Great for cute pictures! I also love how Little Guy will smeel like maple for the whole day. Who doesn't love to cuddle up during naps with a maple baby?

It was a good weekend

We had a full weekend and it was great. Saturday was an all business type of day. I got up really early with Little Guy so that my Hubby could sleep in (and he did, very much so). The morning was spent cleaning and walking to PCC to get dinner. When we came back my dad was at my house pressure washing the porch. He did a very good job. While we were eaiting for lunch I got some pictures of him and Little Guy.

Saturday was also one of the hottest days we have had all summer, but we didn't get to enjoy the weather at least not that day. The second half of the day was spent at a BBS which is a business meeting. Hubby and I own our own business together on top of me having a photography business. We love it and had a great time even indoors. The speakers that came out were amazing.

Saturday was all business, but Sunday was all play. After service we went to Hubby's work picnic at a beauitful farm. Honestly, we only came there for the food and then we left.

Little Guy was on a blanket at the picnic and he started to scoot backwards. It was so cute for us as parents to see him scooting towards the grass.

There was also a great view of Mount Si. I am excited to take Little Guy there when he get a little older, but hoping my Hubby will retire before that. Hubby got to try our new carrier that I got for all of the travel I was doing this past month. He likes it and it looks great on him.

After the picnic we planned on going to Denny Creek. Denny Creek is a hike that was featured in Seattle Met magazine. It a mile hike to smooth granite slabs that create a natural water slide. There were lots of people there enjoying another hot summer day.

When we got there it was time for Little Guy to eat so we layed down a towl on the rocks. I think he liked eating outside and watching all the people around him. I know I would have loved it.

The water was very beautiful. It was so clear, like there was no water there to begin with. Of course it was cold, very cold because it was coming straight from the mountains. Since it was so cold it was a great way to cool off our very warm sparkling water.

Photobucket

After you have your feet in for a while you start to not feel them anymore which made the water not so bad. Little Guy only had his feet in for a few moments. He thought it was okay, but not that great. Hubby thought it was freezing! It took him a while to get his feet in.

After Little Guy put his feet in the water I made sure that he was warm and wouldn't get a cold. The best way to do that was to warp him all up in a towel.

The hike was acutually right next to I-90 and we even went under it at one point. It was pretty neat because it was just so huge.

I actually hiked in my church clothes because I forgot an outfit, but I'm glad I was in a dress, it kept me cool.

My Trip in 3 Parts

Part One

This has been an interesting trip. Maybe one of the most interesting trips I have ever taken. The closest place I have been that's like where we went is Missouri, but that was a fun place with more people, house and civilization. We landed into a nicely sized airport so I didn't know what was coming. It didn't take us long to be out of the airport and on our way. Once we were on our way, 10 minutes into the trip) we got into a car accident. My cousin Ben was driving on his truck.

No one was hurt, but I was very, much shocken up! I was so glad for a car seat because I had a thought for a spit second to keep him in my carrier while we drove to the Lodge. He was safe and sound in the carseat.

The next day I was able to get out of the house with little guy and take some pictures of the soundings. For pictures it's great, but for living it is so lonely. I had my share of that during this trip. Everyone was running around getting ready for the wedding while I spent some time at the Lodge and the cousin's house doing nothing.

While I was on our walk taking pictures I got eaten by mosquitoes during mid-day! That was horrible. I had no idea that would happen. That was the end to all walks and the beginning of total boredom and loneliness. Augustin was in my carrier so he was safe. Plus they liked me way more.

Photobucket

At least the Lodge was cute.

Everyone wanted to hold Little Guy. I let them, but then he would start crying. When I would take him back I only got him for a max of 5 minutes before someone came and tapped my shoulder, "Can I hold him now?" How could I say no. So many people held him and played with him that whenever he was in the car he was fast asleep!

The bride-to-be was beauitful, happy and busy with getting her house together.

So when there wasn't a wedding I was hanging out with the little kids keeping them busy and myself with game (except for when we went to Winnipeg).

That's my first half of the trip. The next half will be the wedding and the last park is the trip to the park.

He got me flowers

Today is crunch mode. We are leaving for Canada tomorrow at 11am. I haven't started packing and it's almost 4pm! It's okay though because it gives me practice on how not to stress out, but do everything calmly. We will be gone for 5 days total. You won't see a blog from me for some time. I have the california pictures, but don't have the time to sit down and write the blog so that will also come after we come back. This has got to be the busiest month yet. I did have a few minutes to show off the beautiful white roses my Hubby got me last night and a few shots of my son.
