The In Betweens

With so much happening and so much to say I'm wondering why I'm still staring at this blank space. I've written like 10 posts in the last week, kinda wish they weren't all in my head.

I've had a rough time since coming back from California. Its all interesting to me because as I came back I was overwhelmed with the blessings that God has poured into my life. So many of my dreams have come true for me in the last 5 years of my life that I can just sit here and cry from an overwhelming feeling of thankfulness. Than all at the same time the change from sunny and warm to yucky and cold had effected me emotionally to where I didn't even care to pick up my camera. Fears were overtaking my thoughts every over minute. It was a battle inside of me. One moment I'm overwhelmed with my blessings and the other I'm consumed with my fears.

After several days of this I had to put a stop to this crazy whirl wind. It was effecting every aspect of my life and it wasn't even that big of a deal. In the end I had won this emotional and spiritual battle, but tears were shed, tears that haven't fallen for a very long time. All said and done, it was good to get some stuff out, overcome those hard moments and embrace the life that has been given to me.

So with those moments I embraced being a mom, a wife, a daughter, and an artist. I poured it out to those things that are dear to my heart. Even on a rainy, windy and cold morning I took Toddler out to splash in the puddles. At that moment what I was going through didn't matter. My heart was warmed to have the opportunity to enjoy my son.

And then there is the way that he just melts my heart when he picks up a camera and knows how to work it. He's graduated to my camera, but I hold it along with him and we take pictures of the world together. It sometimes catches me off guard at how much he is like me.

My husband bought him TWO balls on Saturday, but he enjoyed his microphone that I sneaked (not in a bad way) so much more. He sings, plays instruments, paints, loves to garden, loves flowers and drinks only out of pretty glasses, he even eats with his drum set. My husband tells me NOT to change him if his outfit doesn't match, makes me laugh. I guess I need to train him to be more of a boy and not an artist.

His fake "I want it my way' cry.

Today was the first weekday where we were able to get back into our schedule and head out the house early after breakfast.

The forecast told me that today was going to be a rainy one, but we were lucky and it started to rain  just now. Without any rain we were able to go to my favorite spot in the whole Pacific Northwest, Lake  Washington Blvd. I fell in love with this place about 10 or so years ago. I'm hoping that our next house will be there.

It was really nice to get out the house, explore our city and truly have a marvelous day with my son and mom. If it's not raining tomorrow morning we're going to go back because there is just so much to see and do there. Toddler really gets a chance to explore, run around and just be a boy.

(Sorry for the quality in some of these images. I had to use my broken lens, but something is better than nothing when it come to memories.)

This and That

I'm a little overwhelmed with all the things floating around my head. It feels like every hour I find a new things to add to my to-do list in my head. I'm working on writing it down, but than I don't get everything on paper or I just forget it before I even reach for my pen.

On days like these I find myself doing everything other then what I ought to be doing. Does anyone else do that?!

One of my projects on my to-do list is to make two inspirational notebooks. It's an easy one hour project that I enjoy doing, but instead I am writing this blog post because one of my tools I need is in Toddlers room and guess whose napping.

I'm also supposed to finish my blog from our Cali trip. I can't do that either because tonight my husband and I have a meeting we need to go to. (Sigh.)

I guess I'll just start brainstorming for dinner, finish the notebooks while Toddler is up and finish and overdue article at the meeting. The rest will have to be done tomorrow.

Oh and I'm almost done with my craft studio, yay!  Here are some bits and pieces of it.

The cutest part of my day was when Toddler and I sang the, "B-I-B-L-E" song over and over again. A moment I want to cherish for years to come!

The Sunny Side

We got back from our trip really late last night. So most of today was spent recovering, cleaning and finally eating food that's good for you.

Its super late, I've been working on my blog post since 8pm, but because I have so many images to share it's taking way longer then I want it to. That means that for tonight I'll post a video and then the actual post will go up tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy out little adventure to the sunny side of the world.  (The video isn't perfect, but it's to late to work that out.)

Things I Love

Today I am full of love, happiness and all the fluffy things in life. It could be the fact that I spent the last two days shopping and eating out with a trip to Cali around the corner this week.

With that all said and done I have to share the things I love and the moments I cherish from this weekend.

Spending Sunday mornings lazily lying in bed before church in my pretty new bed sheets which I adore. It only took a year to get my European style bed sheets, but the wait was worth it because I had no buying limitations.

Toddler playing his games on the Kindle while I read my bible and books.

Looking out the window for birds and garbage trucks.
Can't forget beautiful white vintage plates of all shapes and sizes! My new thing I'm starting to collect.

R&R time for me while Toddler naps the afternoon away. I have so many books to read that I have to really find time for them all. I'm currently in the middle of like 5 books.

Photobucket

Afternoon tea parties with myself. I find that a busy and demanding day is easier to handle when you take 5-10min to do something for yourself. For me that meant tea in high style and a book in bed.

Photobucket

Oh, beautiful new shoes. Not just one pair, but 3 with more to come while we are in California. I'm so thankful when hubby gives me a chunk of change to buy those important things like new shoes, dresses and so much more. This pair happened to be in our laundry hamper. Wonder how that happened?!

Photobucket

Loved having Toddler around during my 8 hour portfolio shoot for a client on Saturday. He made us all laugh.

Photobucket

Toddler in my rain boots and little of anything else. Oh, but the basket, drink and strawberry in hand.

Photobucket

Mornings in Snohomish for a little shopping and breakfast with the Toddler and my momma. No matter how many times I go there its like going there for the first time every time.

I also adore watching my dad with Toddler as they 'work' together on the chicken coop. We are always so happy to have my dad over and spend time with us as he lives in Idaho with his wife.

Photobucket

I also love when Toddler watches his cartoons, he always seems to find the cutest little poses for me. As a mom I can't pass these opportunities up to grab my camera and start clicking.

There's a towel under him because he's in potty training and I don't want my couch to be ruined.
