After coming back from our vacation I've realized a few things.
1. My house is a big source of inspiration to me
2. I REALLY love what I do
3. Going away somewhere for a week is SO good for my creativity
I hope to apply these things that I've learned when I am in need of a change or stuck. Since I've came home I've been busy doing what it is that I do, taking pictures, editing, styling, being inspired, making lists, planning and so on. It feels so good to have had a break and to be back at it with a sense of freshness. I've also realized (in not a cocky way) that I am good at what I do. I doubt myself often, but my eyes are being open to the fact that I am good at photography, I am talented and there is a strong anointing upon my life for what I do. The best part is because God gave it to me and I am thankful to Him!! He deserves the credit! My friend Laurie spoke into my life in the beginning of 2013 and the things she spoke are coming out to be! All I can say is I am blown away and can't wait to the SO MUCH MORE that God has for me!
This bangs got cut and soon a big boy cut will follow.
When we go somewhere as a family or even just my husband and I its either to Slovakia or it's to a business trip mixed with pleasure. This trip was a rare trip that we took that didn't involve any of those things mentioned above.
My in-laws are in town from Europe and we got to fly into LA where we rented an RV to drive to the Grand Canyon and enjoy some sites along the way. It was a beautiful trip despite the Canyon never being on my 'must go to' list. Why isn't it on my list? Who knows, just wasn't. After going there it's on my list to go inside the canyon and explore it.
The trip was wonderful, inspiring, full and tiring all at the same time. When we drove into LA again after a week of exploring I pretty much slept a whole day. I was so in need of sleep that I didn't take a single picture the whole day. There is a date missing in my folders... the day I slept through. After it all I am thrilled to be home as I have discovered that home is what really inspires me, but to keep that inspiration going I need to step away from it every so often to recharge. I also see many more RV trips in our future, but in an Airstream that I have redesigned so that I can feel right at home no matter the locations we travel to.
So I hope that you enjoy the picture overload. Honestly, I didn't think I took that many images! I will be posting more scenery pictures on the Gatherings blog and my professional blog.
Up at 5:30am as it was too hot to sleep in the dessert with 90 degree weather at night!
Hubby is dancing in the rain as it poured down with thunder and lightning. We got to watch a bolt go through the Grand Canyon, looked like a tree (amazing!!!)
