Beauty & Dreams I've Collected

I've just been full to the brim with ideas, dreams, thoughts, and creativity. It's been rooted in me so that I can't think of anything else! I think it, see it in my dreams, speak it and am so excited about everything.

Photobucket

I can't seem to walk by something beautiful and capture its beauty. I must stop, take it in and capture it's essence.  It could be colors, dishes, flowers, fences and the list goes on. I sometimes go through my images that I've collected over the years and am in awe of the sheer beauty God has blessed us with. Currently white and pastels catch my eyes more then anything. It reminds me of a fairytale once told long ago.

Aside from being immersed into all things beautiful I've been creating and designing many things lately. From websites, blogs, crafts to creating a video its been pretty busy in my mind. I've also have a lot of inspirational photo-shoot swimming around my head.

Photobucket

I've always wanted to be this creative person, seeing beauty in a different way, creating things in reality that have been thought up in my imagination, but what I didn't know was how hard it is to be that person and having so many things swimming in your head, but not having them all come to pass.

I love it though. I'm finally on the path that I've always wanted to travel. My deepest dreams are coming true with bigger dreams right behind them and I'm so happy!

A weekend Late

So I never managed to post pictures up from our trip to Long Beach, WA. I think it was because I put in about 40 or more hours of work in from 3 days.

Today's been a LONG day too, but I can't seem to just sit and relax unless a movie is playing and I need to relax. For me this means writing and posting my blog. I'm trying to recollect when I became a workaholic and actually started loving it.

Workaholic and me is the funniest thing I've ever heard. I used to seriously be all about fun, nothing else mattered. Of course that was before I married my business man husband. It truly makes sense to me, right now at this moment, why I never wanted to marry a business man! Deep down inside I was afraid that I would become a business woman and how boring did that sound at the time. Hahaha, and now I can't stop working on my business. It funny to me how the tables have turned on me.

We hiked today. Went to Big Four Mountain where the Ice Caves are, but that post will be for tomorrow. It's all about Long Beach today fully loaded with pictures and might have limited text. I hope that I don't get tired and quite half way. It's been done before!

The trip to Long Beach wasn't that bad. We napped (not the driver), stopped in Olympia for a coffee and park break and enjoyed the beauty that Washington had to offer us.

Babers did quite well on the trip. I think we've broke him into our road trips, if that made any sense.

Once we arrived in Long Beach we had three goals:
1. Bring luggage upstairs to the hotel room
2. Find the healthiest restaurant (very hard)
3. Go to the beach before the sun went down

The beach was incredible! I sand was warm. The waves were breath taking, but my favorite part was laying on my blanket being warmed by the sand with my book while Augustin played near by. That moment I shall remember for years to come! Augustin just LOVED the sand! He was in such awe of it. He even rolled around in it with shouts of joy. It was beautiful to watch.

The hard part was leaving. Getting Babers to leave the sand and beach was like pulling teeth. We spent most of the trip carrying a very unhappy toddler, but what are we supposed to do when its time to leave places. He can literally spend hours in ONE spot! Hubby is very patient with his exploring ways, I? Not so much. I need to be doing, going and not just being.

The next day was much colder and cloudier so that meant the sand and beach were somewhat off limits, which gave us everything else to do like hike up Cap Disappointment. Hiking up to the light house is always my favorite, but with a One year old who wants to do the hike all by himself isn't that fun. It took 4x's as long! I've really got to learn to be patient with his little exploring mind or start exploring with him.  Like him I'm gonna stop to smell the leaves in our evergreen forests, but not today, maybe tomorrow.

The lighthouse was beautiful as ever (to me). Dead Man's Cover hasn't changed and pictures with Augustin was hard to capture.

Of course once it was time to go guess to was full of tears and toddler meltdowns?

After Cap Disappointment we stopped at my favorite restaurant for lunch and gave Babers some time to nap in the car. That time was so beautiful and precious to me. I stumbled upon an old run down nursery with beautiful flowers, pots, bird houses and so much more. It was a place where I got to sit down and write out my goals in my "All Things Are Possible" journal. That's another moment that I will forever cherish and look upon tenderly. Sounds cheesy!

We ended our day with another one of mine favorite local restaurants, but before that we visited the Long Beach Boardwalk. I hear it's quite known. We even saw some beautiful dear!

And that folks was our incredible trip, I almost gave up on the post after 2 crashes, but I did it! I'm looking forward to next years trip back.

A Trip to the Island

I apologize ahead of time, this post is just a recap about our trip to Jetty Island today. Nothing deep or special, but plain. Some just like it plain.

I've been on a role with our little outings. From the Market to the zoo from the zoo to the island and then a weekend on the coast. I think I'm making up for the lost time while Babers was sick.

I'm one of those people who has a list of things I want to do when I have guests. Its full of places to go and things to see. Once my guests arrive I forget what it was that was on my list so we end up not doing much. That was the first 3 weeks of my in-laws stay. I love that things have changed.

Next week is a trip to the ice caves among other things.

Once my mother-in-law leaves I'll be hitting the ground running with lots of photo-shoots this month.

Today we ventured out, despite the clouds, to Jetty Island. It's a pretty 2 mile park in Everett. It offers sandy beaches, wading water and a nice nature walk. The perfect place to be on a Friday afternoon.

Babers ran toward the first group of kids we saw and stuck with them throughout half of our trip. It made up crack up because the teacher of that group was surprised to find he was following them. It was cute.

When he couldn't keep up he would just run after them since they were 5 times older then he was, but age doesn't stop this little man.

Everything was great until he got side tracked with the sand. Cool sand that he could play in and throw too! That sand ended up everywhere including his hair.

After 2 hours on the island and a quick snack we headed home.

Nothing big or special, just lots of love and fun. I also haven't been feeling much like myself lately, but hoping to shake that feeling soon because it's starting to mess with my mind.
