A Little Vulnerable

Today's the kind of day where all I need is Jesus' grace.

My house is a mess, my emotions are all over the place and all I want to do is cry. Actually, I did cry I also prayed and truthfully feel so much better. I can smile without a threat of tears spilling out without warning, they now come with a warning.

I woke up with the feeling of sadness, a headache, a feeling of not being enough and like I'm some kind of fraud. What is one to do with such feelings?! Those feeling along will make someone stay in bed all day feeling sorry for one-self, but that's not what I did, I let my son do that for me as he decided to cry for a half hour in our bed. What I did, instead, was lock my emotions in and I just got angry.

Honestly, without God I'd still be an emotion rock, walking around and hurting those around me. I've decided not to stay in this funk, but will clean the house, love my family and finish those big promised deadlines with a happy spirit and if not I'll put my biggest effort into it.

A Feverish State

I am saddened that my son is down with the fever, but am very optimistic that he will feel like himself in no time.

Yesterday he woke up feeling warm, but played like his old self. He enjoyed his morning with his 'Babi' as they played in his room. After his nap though, he woke up with a significant fever of 103, which is the highest it's ever been. Despite it all he still managed to smile, but the longer the evening went on the less he smiled until I have give something to break the fever.

This morning he woke up with the same fever of 103. The only things that's keeping it down is medicine and I don't want to keep him on that too long. He's eating and drinking so I'm ver thankful for that. I'm sure that by Monday I'll have my happy boy back. When he does't feel good my little kitty meows his way under our dining table and just lays there. It breaks my heart when he does that as I know it's his sign to say he's not feeling well. The only thing that's keeping him still and resting is watching 'Busy Town' on Netflix.

Aside from that I got to do some work for an upcoming project that I'm excited about. I feel like I'm always working, but at the same time it doesn't feel like work at all for I love it so much.

I also spent my morning modeling for a photographer friend. It was so much fun and I enjoyed laughing along with her. There was lots of wardrobe changes, coffee and goofing around, but the end results are beautiful. She did such a good job and i love the product I was modeling for!

Blueberry Picking

Why is it that when I live my day I find so many things on my heart, so many things to day, but when I sit down to write about it all I get nothing. I think I've stared at my computer for about a half hour. I can't recall what's in my heart, what I wanted to say and all I can do is just recall the days events.

So here is my usual recall of today's beautiful day full of memories, love and so much joy.

Yesterday we planted my rose bushes 'Blushing Lucy' and 'The Queen of Sweden' and yes I call them by name, will always. They seem to love their new home. Soon I will have vases overflowing with beautiful roses and a house filled with fragrant soft perfume.

Our trip to the blueberry fields was much longer then last time and we seemed to have picked less berries. I think it was because I spent half the time watching tractors with my son then I spent picking blueberries. After the tractors we went to go find the chickens. I do thank my mother-in-law for doing most of the work. I've also come to realize how much I love picking strawberries, raspberries and blueberries especially with a cute sundress and a sunhat.

Now our house is filled with lots of yummy berries. We still have cherries up to our ears. I have no clue how we are going to eat them all, but I'm sure we will.

With a few big projects coming up in the next couple of weeks I'm surprised by desk hasn't taken a huge hit, but is still in a cute state. I'm sure that when the deadlines draw nearer my desk will surely reflect it, but my work table had so many lovely works on it from birds eggs, lavender to blueberry bouquets.

Coffee, Bikes and Pretty Things

Every morning I wake up I'm drawn to the window to catch what's the weather is outside. If it's raining then there goes the day as I'll most likely want to spend the days indoors, but if it's sunny then there are countless things that I'd love to do that day, it's just figuring out what to do.

Today was one of those sunny days. We first wanted to go blueberry picking at our favorite farms, but we just couldn't get out of the house so I settled on doing some of the things my mother-in-law would enjoy.

The night before I remember that she remarked how beautiful a cup of coffee was in a beautiful magazine. I did tell her I'd take her to a place where she can get one. That's how we started the day, with a beautiful cup of cappuccino.

I then took her to a pottery shop where we all got to paint something pretty. Toddler did such a good job painting, but he didn't do a very good job staying dry if you know what I mean. I went to help him out of his seat and he was quite wet to my surprise! I told him and my mother-in-law to meet me at the car where I had a set of dry clothes for him, but they didn't go, at least not right away. Toddler decided to finish his job on the side of the building before he walked nakie to the car, oh the joys of potty training.

Toddler also found my planter and had now claimed it as his bicycle. I think its time that we actually get him one. My little Kitty was so pleased with himself. When I say Kitty I mean it. He's been crawling and meowing all over the place.

My First Two Roses

I think I have officially stepped into womanhood when I purchased my first two roses.

While in my favorite town of Snohomish I went to the most beautiful farm called the Antique Rose Farm where they have the most stunning display of roses and gardens I have ever seen. Made me impatient to have my own private rose gardens full of roses, hydrangeas, lilacs, ranunculus, and wildflowers galore. I dream of owning a beautiful vintage white teahouse in those gardens where I can shoot to my hearts content.

I'd love to shoot this place for an article in a magazine!

Back to my womanhood. Growing up, I'd love to go out into our front yard to cut some fresh roses for the table, but I always had to ask my mom as they were her rose bushes. When I was purchasing my rose bushes I couldn't believe that I will have my own rose in my own yard to cut for photo-shoots as much as I'd like. I no longer have to drive by beautiful homes and lust over their rose bushes, that made me feel very much like my own woman.

I'm excited to plant them and watch the climbing Blushing Lucy take over my chicken coop while the Queen Of Sweden has her way with our ugly restraining wall.

Our my beautiful purchase we all went for a walk overlooking the beautiful country side. The walk didn't last long as it turned out we were all hungry taking us to my favorite organic restaurant called Grilla Bites.

Before going home I had to spot by my favorite store called Ruffles and Rust to pick-up my favorite magazine called Artful blogging.

I guess yesterday was the day of good news and receiving goodies in the mail and today was the day for all of my favorite things. This is the beautiful life that I live!
