La Conner, WA

This is my first blog post and I'm hoping that many more will follow after this one. I believe an introduction is in order. So here it goes... My name is Annetta. I love my name and am so happy that my mom decided upon that name. It means grace. I've always considered myself a princess. Deep down inside I know I am one. It runs in my blood, forever in me. Having fun is what I am about. Work isn't really my thing unless it has something to do with photography or my other business I have. If it's fun I loose interest in it pretty fast, but have learned the art of discipline. Discipline & a good attitude are key things in life. One who can change has real power, but no power without God is really power. Okay I find myself going on and on so I'll stop now. Back to my post. July 5-10 was a day off for Lubos aka Hubby. On Friday we decided that we were going to go to Leavenworth for the day. Hubby was oncall this whole past week and Monday morning his pager was going off every 10 minutes, grrr! While he was dealing with work mommy & I decided to take Augustin aka Little Guy on a walk. We walked to Windermere. It took us two hours. When we got home I had a pounding headache and no one was ready to leave. After my nap, talking to Mami in Slovakia via Skype & lunch it was 2pm and way to late to go anywhere. I was bummed! I got on the computer and after some research decided we were going to La Conner which was about and hour an a half away. We were going to loose no time and off getting ready everyone went. We got Little Guy up from his nap & off we went.
The scenery was beautiful! Cute farm houses, big fields, wild flowers & rivers. What more could you ask of a nice summer drive.

We drove by a market and decided to buy some fresh produce. Well they didn't have much, but they did have ice cream, baskets & most important (according to my mom) scarf made out of silk. The line was too long for ice cream, there was no produce, but my mom did buy a new purple scarf for her collection.

After the market we drove into La Conner. Of course by that time I was hungry, so the first thing on our list was to feed me. We ate at the only thing open. We got to sit out on the deck facing the river. It was windy and in the 60's. We ended up busting out Little Guy's bear suite transforming him into my little bear. While we eat Hubby & Little Guy had a great time together.

After a nice meal of prawn chowder, a panini & a yucky cheesecake that no one liked off we went to explore the town.

Saw some nice views, while little bear napped away the day.

Right when we were going back to the car to make the drive home little bear decided it was a good time to get up. I took advantage and took some more photos.

So that was our little advanture for the week. On the way home Little Guy couldn't stand sitting in his car seat so he decided screaming till we pulled over and got him out was the thing to do. We stopped and gave him a break.

We let him "drive", but all he wanted to do was eat the wheel instead.

Once it was time to put him back into his carseat he was screaming again. Luckily I remember YouTube and some videos I had on there just for this purpose. It did the trick, he was out by the time we got home.
