My days are not like the days I read of one fun loving Florida mom. It seems like she is spending her days outside in the beautiful, warm Florida sun ( Pulchritudinous. ) while I am inside cleaning and working in our forever bipolar Washington weather. Reading her posts make me want to pack my bags and head west, where it seems like the grass is greener on the other side, but that's just it. It SEEMS greener on the other side. My grass is actually just as green on my side, well greener due to all the rain we have been getting. I make my days and I made today special.
What was so special about my day you ask? Well, thanks for asking! The special thing about today is a clean house, a happy baby, a yummy dinner & the sense of accomplishment. I didn't get to do everything on my to-do list done, but I did start planning my son 1st birthday which wasn't on the list, put the baby to nap 3 times and managed to feed him rice cereal. I'm one happy momma!
While I was cleaning I had my dad come over to play/watch Little Guy. They haven't seen each other for a week or so & it was a very precious time. I really wish that all of his grand parents lived near us, but when we do see them that time is just that much more memorable. When it does happen (this coming up summer, yay) we will suck the life out of those moments so that they will last us for the times they are not here.
It's been about a month since I started my table project and it's been about a week since it's been finished sitting prettily in my dinning area. It was lots of money and work, but oh how I love the table and how it turned out. To me, it's the most beautiful table I have ever seen. I designed it and my brother Danny made it all happen and made it happen indeed he did.
I added a weather crackle in it for character.
Once I got into take pictures of my new table I decided to continue and show you all the little area's in my house that make my house personally me. All the little items that I have put together are with lots of thought, imagination and research.
While I was taking pictures I was putting Little Guy to sleep. Oh how I love to multi-task.
Okay... It was all a big design accident that happened to work and my house 'looks' like I spend many hours decorating it when in reality it was a beautiful mistake.
Oh and I got a new purse during the women's conference we had this past week. I buy a new purse every year. I only need one. This is my new purse for the next year. It's bold, more bold then I'm used to, but I'm liken it!
I must not forget to add a picture of the table before I redesigned it.
