Renewed

Most of our weekends for the past couple of months have been hectic to say the least. You know one of those weekends where your running around and when you just catch your breath it's gone? Luckily this weekend was different. It was a breath of fresh air. I got to enjoy all the little things that God had blessed me with. I took my time, I looked around, remembered it's details and wrote the feelings down on my heart. I wanted to have something to go back to when life gets the best of me.

My little "full-of-life", "energy baby" was crawling all over the house on Friday. He didn't want to be in his high chair, he didn't like the play-pen and there was no way to contain or entertain my little guy. I had to let him loose therefore he got to my curtains in the living room and stayed there for a long time playing with them to my surprise. During these moments I get lots of work done, oh what a feeling.

I had many plans for a fun filled morning at the Mill Creek community garage sales. My vision was to get up early in the morning with my mom and little guy, a starbucks run & slow walk through the Mill Creek neighborhoods as I watched my wallet get thinner and thinner. Instead I was thrown off course with a baby that slept in till 9am and a house inspection at 10am. The morning left me cleaning, but I was not to be frazzled. My reward was a nice scenic drive to Mill Creek, some great family time, lots of music in the car & laughs with the ones I loved.

One of the things I just love about my hubby is that he gets me flowers. When most men would have stopped giving their wives fresh roses my husband still surprises me with them regularly. I just LOVE flowers. They make not just me happy, but my whole house looks happy and loved. I have about 6 vases with roses in them. The color is fall themed which is my favorite season by far. Thank you hubby!

I'm excited to share my new additions to my house, but that will have to be for another day.
