I was going to write about mom's and how wonderful they are, but this isn't the post to do that in. I'll need to find the perfect post to talk about my awesome mom, which should include her own personal photo-shoot.
For now I guess I'll just go through the events of the day.
It's been a while since we've all (Toddler, my mom and I) went to a park to enjoy some nature. So instead of going to the Y to get our exercise we went to one of my favorite trails in Snohomish. I've posted many pictures from that park before and even had a photo-shoot with my friend. It's a killer place to go during fall as the maple leaves are beautifully colored and they just cover the ground down by the pond in their beautiful leaves. I already have some idea's brewing for a series of photo-shoots.
When we usually pull up into the parking lot there are barely any cars there, but this time there were so many of them that people were having trouble finding parking spaces. It turns out its salmon season, filling the banks with fisher man. Toddler enjoyed catching up with any fisherman who would dare enough to stop and say hi to us on the trail.
Before we even did anything or really go anywhere Toddler decided he needed to pee and then you can guess the rest as he didn't make it to the bushes. I am SO thankful I bring extra clothes in my car and shoes as he even needed those to be changed! In the end it worked out because I didn't really like his outfit and thought he looked so much better in his replacement.
Our walk quickly turned into blackberry picking where Toddler enjoyed a yummy berry lunch.
Ran into this cute little guy on our way to the car. He was so fuzzy!
And now on to the pretty stuff. I always have a hard time coming up with something to eat for breakfast as I need to eat something with protein and not just oatmeal or cereal. My not too shabby breakfast is usually Toddler's awesome lunch!
Here's the yummy garlic bread I was talking about in my earlier post.
I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in recipe posts? We had such a simple, quick and oh so yummy dinner yesterday that it would be a crime not to share. It was parmesan garlic orzo and ranch crispy chicken recipe that I modified with greens. For the ranch chicken I used organic ranch from trader joes and mixed in balsamic vinegar. I got everyone's approval!
Wow, I honestly didn't think I had this much to say! I guess I should work on more morning posts.
One more thing... I've joined a cute little club on instagram called the Tiny_notebooks. Each Friday we share a page from our own personal tiny notebooks. Let me tell you that this is my kind of club people! I'm so very much enjoying writing in my notebook. Here's a sneak peak into my notebook and art journal (which I'm still working on).
