What's cookin' in my kitchen?

Something that smelled of garlic, herbs & absolute yumminess. Sometimes I don't know what's better the smell of garlic in the air of absolute yumminess.

Today was my first time to cook in my new, but very much unfinished kitchen. Hubby is putting it together as I'm writing this. I'm really excited to share how beautifully it had turned out. Cream cabinets and white appliances are so pretty and so my style. Once I hang up the mirrors on the top cupboards then my project will be complete. Who needs new cabinets when you've got pure vision, that's all natural and home grown.

Back to the cooking...

I had decided that fingerling potatoes would be great cut up and boiled then fried. Who knew it would take so long. I should have just stuck with frying them. I guess that's what happens when you don't want to go to the garage and dig through boxes to find the Olive Oil.

Next came one of my best cooked chicken recipe yet! A little bit of Dash and a little bit of Black Pepper Salt, wait did I just say a little?! I meant to say a lot!

I'm one of those people that loves strong tastes. The chicken was a total success! I got lots of complements on it, which makes for one happy cook.

Then I went full out Russian. I can't hide my roots, it shows in my cooking. I made an onion and tomato salad drenched in sunflower oil seasoned with salt to drain the juices. Can I say, "Heavenly"?

Put the dinner all together and you have some taste buds doing a firework show for you.

Talking about all this food is making me hungry. I shall go make myself a plate of leftovers once I'm done here.

My daddy came over and did such a big job for me. He replaced our chandelier that's like 15 feet up, vaulted ceilings. That is high. I honestly couldn't even look while he was working because it was way too scary. Also our new chandelier is very heavy, but oh so pretty once it was up.

He also replaced the chandelier in the dinning area. He was on a roll today (I have to say it) so he must be butter! Hehehehe, makes me laugh every time.

I also noticed something about myself. My house could be in complete chaos, boxes everywhere, but as long as I have some pictures up and a little decor here and there I am happy and able to function. Without it I'm overwhelmed by all the ugliness and only see the work that needs to be done.

Little Guy was too cute for words today and the camera didn't do him justice. He wore his first pair of overalls. Oh how I love him in some overalls. He looked like a handsome little boy that I could put on a plate and eat. He was also a little boy that got into everything that he could get his hands on.

Tomorrow is a big event for our business, so I'm hoping for lots of success. I hope every one of you has a great weekend. I'd love to hear about it, please do share!
