Saturday with Friends

I have a goal today. The goal is to stay away from social media this weekend. So that means no browsing and no posting today. I will post tomorrow as we are going to Banská Štiavnica. Most of my posting will be done here though. It’s also very nice to have a place where I can write my thoughts, remember my day, express my feelings and keep all the pictures I take through out the day. Most of the time my pictures sit in my computer, never looked at. When they are on this blog I have a tendency to browse through old posts. It’s also great to look through with my family. So that’s the goal for today and this weekend. 

Right now I have snowdrop plans with Petronela and then lunch plans with Sasha while the men are at a Floorball game. I can’t attended because I’m not Covid vaccinated. During game days I like to spend that time with my friends and not sit at home by myself. Anyway I need to get ready and go.

One thing that I learned today is that prayer is more important and powerful then words. It’s something I haven’t matured in and really need to grow. I need to pray when I’m talking with my friends, husband or processing what’s on my heart. It’s a simple thing to do, but it’s the last thing I tend to do. I tend to use my words first. People don’t need my words. It's amazing the things God teaches us if we give Him the space to do so. I have learned to much today, but now applying what I have learned is the most important. 

The time with both Petronela and Sasha were good, beautiful and unique in their own ways. I am thankful for their friendships. I remember living in Piestany and praying for friends. It was a very lonely season for me. It's also interesting to see how different my life is from that season. I also feel like it was a different me. I might have more to say on this subject, but I am home now from a good, but long day and words don't come to me like they do in the mornings. Last thought, I stayed away from social media today and its been a very good thing indeed. Tomorrow I am excited to go to Banská Štiavnica.
